Whoopi Goldberg signs on for a guest role on “The Conners”
The EGOT winner will play a teacher in a forthcoming episode of the ABC comedy.
An EGOT winner has joined the cast of ABC’s The Conners.
A future episode of the comedy will feature Whoopi Goldberg as a guest star. There is no set airdate for the actress and co-host of The View’s appearance; she will play a teacher.
In addition to William H. Macy, Candice Bergen, Matthew Broderick, Juliette Lewis, and Patton Oswalt, Goldberg is the latest in a long line of notable guest stars on The Conners.
The intimidating music teacher for Mark (Ames McNamara), Ms. Glen, will be played by Goldberg. She also shares a complicated past with a different Conner family member.
In recent years, Goldberg has maintained a busy acting schedule in addition to her moderating duties on The View. She recently made appearances on Star Trek: Picard (repetition of her Next Generation role), Godfather of Harlem, The Stand, and the feature film Till.
She currently has a recurring role in Harlem at Amazon’s Prime Video. Additionally, she provided voiceovers for the animated films My Father’s Dragon for Netflix and Luck for Apple TV+. WME represents her.
Tom Werner, Sara Gilbert, Bruce Helford, Dave Caplan, Bruce Rasmussen, and Tony Hernandez are the executive producers of The Conners.
