Chelsea need to sign a “top-class” central defender to be Premier League title challengers next season, according to former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy. Chelsea have already agreed to sign two players ahead of the opening of the next transfer window. Attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech will join from Ajax for £33.3million and Germany striker Timo Werner is set to sign for around £49m.
