Homer Heche, Anne Heche’s son, files papers to gain control of her estate

Homer Heche Laffoon, 20, filed paperwork to confirm he and his brother Atlas, 13, will be the legal heirs to the actress’s estate weeks after she was involved in an unexpected and fatal car crash

The estate of Anne Heche’s oldest son has been petitioned for control.

Homer Laffoon, 20, filed suit for custody of Heche’s assets due to his mother’s lack of a will before her death earlier this month at the age of 53.

Media received the papers, which names both Homer and Heche’s other son, Atlas Tupper, 13, as legal heirs to Heche’s inheritance.

The papers declare that “the Estate consists of two (2) intestate heirs—Homer Heche Laffoon and Atlas Heche Tupper.” “Adult Homer Heche Laffoon is the proposed Administrator.” Atlas Heche Tupper is insignificant.”

“Filed concurrently with this petition is a Petition for Appointment of Guardian ad Litem for the minor, which specifically requests that the guardian ad litem be granted the authority to waive bond on behalf of the minor,” they continue.

On August 5, Heche was engaged in a terrible car crash that put her in a coma for a week. On August 12, the state of California proclaimed her legally dead, despite the fact that she was still on life support in order to donate her organs.

Homer — whose father is Coley Laffoon — commented on Heche’s final resting place  (first published by TMZ.) “My brother Atlas and I want to thank Tyler, Noelle, and all the amazing people at Hollywood Forever for their kindness, compassion, and generosity of spirit. We are convinced our Mom would love the site we have chosen for her; it’s beautiful and serene and she will be among her Hollywood peers.”

“Most importantly,” Homer added, “Hollywood Forever is a living place, where people attend movies and concerts and other events. She was our Mom, but the kindness and the outpouring of the past few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, to the entertainment community, and now, to the ages.”
