Britney Spears Fires Back at Kevin Federline Over His Claims About Their Sons

Britney Spears has issued a scathing response to Kevin Federline after he was quoted as saying in an interview that their teenage sons, Sean and Jayden, have chosen not to see her for months.

Britney Spears has spoken out in response to Kevin Federline’s shocking comments concerning their children.

Speaking to ITV News in a soon-to-be televised interview, the singer’s ex-husband said their sons Sean Preston Federline, 16, and Jayden James Federline, 15, “have decided they are not seeing her right now,” according to the Mail on Sunday, which published excerpts.

“It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her,” Kevin continued. “They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

Britney, who married Sam Asghari in June, responded on August 6 through Instagram. “It pains me to learn that my ex-husband has opted to discuss my connection with my children,” she wrote in her Story. “As we all know, raising adolescent boys is never simple.”

According to the Mail on Sunday piece, which was written by the ITV interviewer, Daphne Barak, Sean, and Jayden themselves stated that their decision not to see Britney was traumatic.

In the interview, Kevin also stated that he got increasingly uncomfortable with what Sean and Jayden supposedly divulged to him during their recent visits. He continued, without explaining, “There were a lot of things going on that I didn’t feel comfortable with.” According to the Mail on Sunday, he also stated that the boys decided to cease seeing Britney as a result of her Instagram behavior.

Britney occasionally posts censored naked photos of herself on social media. “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,'” Kevin told ITV News about the boys. “But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them,” he added. “It’s tough.”

Britney responded on Instagram, saying, “It bothers me that the rationale is based on my Instagram… I gave them everything LONG before Instagram… Just one word: HURTFUL.”

Kevin also mentioned how Britney has openly criticized him as well as her family members on Instagram, as part of a long-running battle coming from her 13-year conservatorship, which ended last November.

The boys are raised by their father, Victoria Prince, and the couple’s two daughters. Kevin and Britney changed their parenting arrangements in 2018, giving him custody of their sons 70% of the time, up from 50%.

Britney also made a shocking assertion on Instagram, stating, “My mum urged me, ‘You should GIVE them to their father.'” More information was not provided by the singer.

Britney stated in an additional Instagram post, “I’m only human, and I tried my hardest… I sincerely wish to offer my TWO CENTS!!!! I dare to hope that the Federline’s will view the BIG BOOTY VIDEO!!! Other artists have made even worse mistakes while their children were quite small!!!!!”

The singer went on, “I was regulated and supervised for nearly 15 years throughout my conservatorship… I had to get permission just to take Tylenol!!! I should do a lot more than go topless on the beach…like a baby!!!!! I’m not shocked that, like my family, they will conduct interviews. I’m not surprised at all by their behavior and attitude toward what I’ve had to deal with!!!”

Britney’s conservatorship was ended months after she labeled the arrangement “abusive” and came out against her then-co-conservator, her father Jamie Spears, in a virtual court hearing. According to his lawyer, the singer’s father’s “activities were done with the knowledge and approval of Britney, her court-appointed attorney, and/or the court.”

Kevin recently defended Jamie in an interview. ‘I saw this dad who genuinely cares about his family and wants everything to be okay,’ he was reported as adding. “When Jamie took over, everything fell into place. He literally saved her life.”

Jamie and Britney’s ex-relationship boyfriend’s with the boys has been rocky in recent years. Following an alleged physical fight between Jamie and Sean, Kevin filed a police report and secured a restraining order against his ex-father-in-law in 2019. Police later found that there was “insufficient evidence that Mr. Spears committed a criminal violation.” E! News had reached out to Jamie for comment at the time but had not received a response.

Jayden went on Instagram Live in 2020 and called Jamie a “very huge d—k.” Kevin’s lawyer later told that the teen’s father was “not thrilled to see that, and he is addressing it as any reasonable parent would.”

Kevin appears to have forgiven his ex-father-in-law for his past alleged behavior. “I would absolutely welcome Jamie Spears back in the boys’ lives,” he said. “Especially if that’s what the boys wanted. I don’t have any hard feelings towards Jamie Spears. People make mistakes. I feel bad for him. I feel like he’s been put through the wringer.”
