Rihanna has become the youngest female self-made billionaire at 34 with a net worth of USD 1.4 billion.
According to Forbes‘ 2022 list, Rihanna is the youngest self-made female billionaire in the United States at the age of 34. According to the portal, the artist is worth an astounding USD 1.4 billion. The singer’s historic accomplishment comes after makeup mogul Kylie Jenner, whose current net worth has been estimated by Forbes to be USD 600 million, made it to the list in 2019.
The singer of Umbrella who also co-owns Fenty Beauty and has a stake in the Savage x Fenty lingerie line has also become the first billionaire from her native Barbados.
Rihanna is the only female billionaire under 40 on this year’s list. The singer gave birth to her first kid with boyfriend A$AP Rocky lately, becoming a mother.
According to CNBC, Rihanna amassed her fortune from her successful music career and entrepreneurial ventures – Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and Savage X Fenty. In March, Bloomberg reported that Savage X Fenty lingerie company was working with advisors on an initial public offering that could value the firm at $3 billion or more. Rihanna owns 30% of that company.
Separately, the singer also owns half of Fenty Beauty, which reportedly generated $440 million in revenue in 2020.
Previously, after being declared a billionaire, Rihanna spoke about how she felt about achieving financial milestones and said, “My money is not for me; it’s always the thought that I can help someone else. The world can really make you believe that the wrong things are a priority, and it makes you really miss the core of life, what it means to be alive.”
The other celebrities on the list of self-made women include Taylor Swift with a net worth of USD 570 million, Beyoncé with USD 450 million, and Kim Kardashian with USD 1.8 billion among others. As for Rihanna’s net worth, it’s sure to get a boost soon since the singer has promised that new music is on the way.
