Khloe Kardashian and ex-partner Tristan Thompson to welcome their second child via surrogacy
“We can confirm True will have a sibling who was conceived in November,” a rep for the star confirms.
According to PEOPLE, Khloé Kardashian will soon become a mother of two.
Khloé Kardashian, 38, and Tristan Thompson, 31, are expecting a child via surrogate. Khloé is deeply appreciative of the excellent surrogate for this lovely blessing. “Please be polite and give us some space so Khloe can concentrate on her family,” we urge.
Despite expecting a sibling for True, their 4-year-old daughter, Khloe, and Tristan “are not back together and have not communicated since December outside of co-parenting responsibilities,” a source tells.
The baby was created through a surrogate before Khloe and the public learned that Tristan was expecting a child with someone else in December, the insider continues.
The Chicago Bulls player apologized to the Kardashians star at the time, writing, “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
Fans saw Thompson’s paternity scandal play out on the first season of Hulu’s The Kardashians.
After learning that the NBA player was the father of a second child, who was born on December 1 with Maralee Nichols, Khloé and Thompson ended their relationship in a formal way in January. He was nonetheless dating Khloé at the time of the baby’s conception. True was born in 2018, and the couple had an on-again, off-again romance since 2016. Prince, Thompson’s 5-year-old son with ex Jordan Craig, is also his child.
The new member was added after Khloé talked about her difficulties conceiving.
She revealed on the first episode of the last season of KUWTK in March 2021 that she had been told by physicians that carrying a second kid on her own would be a “high-risk” pregnancy. She disclosed her consideration of surrogacy to her sister Kim Kardashian.
“I’m not gonna get into specifics on-camera,” she said in the episode, “but they said it’s like an 80-something percent chance that I will miscarry. I almost miscarried with True at the beginning. But I didn’t know that was like a lingering thing.”
“This is all really shocking to me,” Khloé added in her confessional. “All I’m trying to do is bring more love into my life and into my family, and I just seem to be running into more and more roadblocks. It’s really hard for me to digest.”
“I honestly had the best experience with surrogacy,” said Kim, who has four children, two of whom she welcomed via surrogate, during the scene. “And I think that you know what giving birth feels like – I always say, if you can do it, it’s such an amazing experience. But you’ll see, the love that you’ll have for your kids is exactly the same. There’s no difference, except that there was someone else that was the carrier.”
The co-founder of Good American is committed to having more kids, but can occasionally feel “frustrated” about the timing of the procedure. She finds it difficult to be patient because she wants another kid so badly. But she is making an effort to remain upbeat, the insider claimed at the time. She thinks it will happen this year and hopes it does.
Khloé also opened up about family planning on a March 2021 installment of Lady Parts with Sarah Hyland, explaining that the pandemic interfered with her plans to have another child sooner.
“… If you do need assistance in fertility, it’s much more challenging during COVID,” the star said. “They say, ‘If you wanna make God laugh, tell him your plans.’ So the one time I’m actually really trying to plan, God is saying, ‘Uh uh, you can’t make your plans like this!’ “
“My plan was to have kids closer in age,” continued the reality star. “But with COVID and everything, my plan’s been a little delayed. I definitely do want more kids. I have so many brothers and sisters. I think it’s such a blessing — especially during these times — to have a family member or people that you can play with and rely on and just have a buddy through life.”
