Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha, 10-year anniversary will be just as “secret” as their wedding

Kerry Washinton and her husband Nnamdi Asomugha are preparing to mark a significant anniversary in their union.

This year, the couple will celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. And like their wedding day itself, their celebrations will be kept quiet.

Washington, 46, said to Entertainment Tonight, “I do have an incredible husband. “Are you aware of how covert my wedding was? How discreet and private was it? The anniversary will also be like that!”

In 2013, the Scandal actress wed Asomugha, 41. Since then, they have welcomed two kids: Isabelle, 8, and Caleb, 6. A 17-year-old child from a previous relationship is also owned by Asomugha.

Washington and Asomugha have hardly ever been seen together in their ten years of marriage. She has only occasionally spoken openly about their relationship.

Washington recently discussed her life away from the spotlight and how Asomugha enables her to stay true to who she truly is. With [him], I’m in my immediate truth, she told Marie Claire. “Those mirrors are crucial because they allow me to reconnect with who I am.”

Unprisoned, Washington’s most recent series, is about to be released. She portrays Paige Alexander, a mother and therapist going through a significant life change as a result of her father’s release from prison. On March 10, the series makes its Hulu debut.
