JP Richards and Keri Moore, who are in charge of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s theatrical marketing, made the announcement about her employment with the studio on February 16. McElroy will oversee 360-degree digital campaigns for upcoming films like John Wick: Chapter 4, starring Keanu Reeves, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and Now You See Me 3, to be directed by Ruben Fleischer.

The Expendables 4 movie, the Dirty Dancing remake, Ballerina, an action thriller starring a woman that expands the John Wick universe, and Are You There God is all on Lionsgate’s release schedule. It’s Me, Margaret, a Michael Jackson event movie produced by Graham King and directed by Antoine Fuqua, is based on the Judy Blume classic.

In a statement, McElroy said, “Having seen what the Lionsgate digital team has grown into, I am proud to be joining such a fun, daring, and innovative group of digital marketers and look forward to getting started on the most promising and exciting film slate of the year.”

She also joins Lionsgate, which is investigating the possibility of dividing its studio operations from its pay TV and streaming operations. The aim is to establish two independent businesses so investors can value the Starz and studio assets separately as they are eventually shopped to possible buyers.
