Trailer for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” debuts at the Super Bowl
James Gunn writes and directs the final installment of his Marvel franchise.
In the Super Bowl trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the Guardians embark on their final journey.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaa, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Will Poulter, who portrays the iconic Marvel character Adam Warlock, are among the cast members of James Gunn’s movie.
Since helming the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, which was released in 2014, Gunn has established himself at Marvel. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which was released on Disney+ last year, was directed by him after he served as executive producer on Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame in the years that followed. Gunn, however, has decided that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be his last Marvel film because he is now deep in rival DC territory. He is co-head of DC Studios and is working to launch a slate of films, including a Superman feature he is writing.
The focus of this new Guardians of the Galaxy film is reportedly on Sean Gunn’s motion-capture on-set portrayal of Rocket Raccoon, who is voiced by Bradley Cooper. Gunn predicted that this movie would conclude the current iteration of the Guardians’ story even before he switched from Marvel to DC.
One of three films released by Marvel this year is Guardians 3, the other two being Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17) and The Marvels (July 28). Samuel L. Jackson’s Secret Invasion and Loki season 2 can be found on television.
May 5 marks the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
