Hip-hop has had a significant impact on our culture over the past five decades, according to Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy. Its contributions to society, politics, sports, and the arts cannot be emphasized. I’m so happy that we are celebrating it on the Grammy stage in such a grand manner. Our year-long celebration of this crucial musical style has just begun.
The show is a component of Paramount’s celebration of hip-50th hop’s anniversary. CBS will broadcast a special hip-hop music event later this year.
