Zendaya celebrates Timothée Chalamet’s 27th Birthday: ‘Happy Birthday, This Child!’

Some prominent pals wished Timothée Chalamet a happy birthday.
On Tuesday, the Oscar nominee turned 27. To commemorate the occasion, Chalamet shared a childhood photo of himself with a raised brow and a ridiculous haircut. He just captioned the photo, “27.”
Zendaya paid tribute to her Dune co-star on her Instagram Story, posting a photo of them behind the scenes of an Entertainment Weekly cover shoot from last year. “Happy birthday to this youngster,” Zendaya, 26, wrote.
Kiernan Shipka, who costarred in the 2015 film One & Two with longtime buddy Chalamet and earlier said he’s “like a brother to me,” also congratulated him. “hbd @tchalamet legend,” Shipka, 23, said on her Instagram Story, along with a vintage snapshot of the two dressed up.
Chalamet told Variety last month that Zendaya has “really become a sister” to him.
“I’m so grateful to count her as a partner and a sister and a friend,” he said, adding that it’s “amazing” for the two to share stories about working with Luca Guadagino, who directed Chalamet in Bones and All and Call Me by Your Name (2017), and Zendaya in the upcoming tennis film Challengers.
He added that Zendaya has an “amazing” larger role as Chani in their upcoming Dune sequel: “She’s bringing exactly what she brought to the first one — which was incredible — but in greater abundance.”
Zendaya recently told PEOPLE of her collaboration with Chalamet on Dune, “I’m just grateful that this experience has been with this guy because he’s not just extremely talented but also a wonderful person. We were able to have fun while also becoming wonderful friends.”
“She was like a breath of fresh air,” continued Chalamet of his Emmy-winning co-star. “She was full of enthusiasm.”
