Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, former Ellen Show DJ  died at the age of 40

Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ wife, Allison Holker Boss, confirmed his death in an exclusive statement to media: He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

Stephen “tWitch” Boss, 40, committed suicide.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” Boss’ wife, Allison Holker Boss, 34, confirms exclusively in a statement. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and the light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” she continued. “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children.”

Closing her statement, Allison shared a message for her husband. “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” she concluded.

Boss rose to prominence as a participant on MTV’s The Wade Robson Project before becoming a runner-up on Star Search. Later, in 2008, he appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, finishing as a runner-up and returning as an All-Star. He was a judge when the show returned in 2022.

Boss appeared as a guest DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014. He later became a regular on the show and was promoted to co-executive producer in 2020.

Allison and the late celebrity previously co-hosted Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. He also appeared in a number of high-profile films and television shows, such as Magic Mike XXL, Modern Family, and Step Up All In.

Offscreen, Boss frequently shared hilarious dancing videos on social media with his wife Allison, who previously competed on SYTYCD. Their children would often join them in their dance video posts.

Boss is survived by his wife Allison, as well as their three children, Zaia, Maddox, and Weslie.
