Selena Gomez believes in the power of manifestation.

One day after being nominated for a Golden Globe, the actress, singer, and Rare Beauty entrepreneur posted a TikTok video of herself detailing her professional goals.

Gomez, 30, was questioned if she wanted to win a Grammy in the future in an unearthed 2011 KTLA Morning Show film. She asserted, however, that she was just interested in winning an acting award.

“Of course, I think it would be an honor, but I’m more of a Golden Globe or Oscar girl,” she says in the video.

Gomez captioned the video as follows: “Dreams really do come true!! I’VE BEEN NOMINATED FOR A GOLDEN GLOBE, GUYS. Brb is about to shout.”

At the 2023 Golden Globes, the actress is nominated for best performance by an actress in a television series, comedy, or musical for her portrayal of Mabel Mora in Only Murders in the Building. Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), and Jean Smart were also nominated in the category (Hacks).

Only Murders in the Building has been nominated for best television series, comedy, or musical, and Gomez’s co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short have also been nominated for outstanding performance by an actor in a television series, comedy, or musical.

Even though it was not her first objective as a kid, Gomez became a Grammy nominee this year when her album Revelación was nominated for Best Latin Pop Album.

Prior to her Golden Globe nomination, Gomez appeared on Saturday Night Live with Martin and Short for their opening monologue.

The comedians presented eulogies in which they mocked each other about what they would say at each other’s funerals. “Wow! There wasn’t much of a crowd “Martin cracked a joke in his.

As the pair resumed their humorous banter, Martin remarked, “Now that Marty is gone, who will I ever work with?” This spurred Gomez to enter the stage.

“How about me?” she replied, as the studio audience erupted in applause at the sight of the Only Murders in the Building co-stars.

The 80th Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock on Tuesday, January 10, at 8 p.m. ET.
