The couple sparked marriage rumors after being spotted in social media photos with what appeared to be wedding rings
The film replicates musical memories while adding language to offer context to the already unique lyrics. Of course, there is a trip upstate during which the pair kisses in the woods and listens to music beside a lake. There’s the controversial scarf he wore on one of their first dates. There’s also kitchen dancing and card games by the fire.
However, we may also see the relationship’s low points. During one of the new dialogue scenes, the leading lady and her ex get into a furious dispute after he drops her hand at a meal with her friends, seemingly ashamed. When she becomes agitated, he gaslights her, calling the issue silly and her reaction absurd and self-centered. Later on, we see she celebrates her 21st birthday surrounded by friends and no family — but no boyfriend.
The pair later made their red carpet debut as a couple at the August 2021 premiere of The Suicide Squad in Los Angeles. In September, Waititi and Ora appeared together at the 2021 Met Gala.
Waititi earned an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Jojo Rabbit, which he also directed and starred in. He’s directed films such as Hunt for the Wilderpeople and What We Do in the Shadows, and he’s appeared in films such as Free Guy, Lightyear, and Disney+’s The Mandalorian.
He divorced ex-wife Chelsea Winstanley in 2018 after seven years of marriage. He and Winstanley have two children, Te Kinga o te Hinekhu, ten, and Matewa Kiritapu, six.
Ora, a British singer/songwriter, recently released the track “Finish Line” and has appeared in films such as the Fifty Shades of Grey series. She co-stars with Jamie Foxx in the upcoming action film Tin Soldier and gives her voice to the new animated series Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.
Ora told Vogue Australia in September that she keeps her romantic life primarily private. “I’m in a fantastic spot in my life,” she added. “Respectfully, I believe that privacy is crucial. In my twenties, I learned a lot.”
